This drawing was from a very famous picture taken by the worldwide known photojournalist, Steve McCurry. When i first discovered it i fell in love with it immediately and just had to draw it. It’s another one of my personal favourites from the collection because of the vibrant range of colours and tones all beautifully merged together. Another thing i love about it is the reflection in the eyes and the ability it has to open up your mind and wonder what you can see in them. And as always, the eyes alone are something that catches us all and makes the overall image so captivating. It was also the biggest challenge out of all my drawings from that time. I completed it in just less than 100 hours over the duration of 3 months back in 2015. Created with Faber-Castell polychromos pencils, Prismacolor premium pencils and Pan Pastels.
